However at TRANSNEFTIGOVSK, safety is non-negotiable. Nothing is allowed to take priority over the well-being of our people or the environments in which we work. To this end we have an HSE Policy, with a clear and uniform set of standards that apply to all of our terminal facilities worldwide.

We view any accident and incident as unacceptable.

  • We comply with all applicable local regulations as a minimum.
  • We set uniform standards to every terminal, which are in some cases higher than local regulations.
  • We work to the TRANSNEFTIGOVSK Integrated¬† Management Manual which includes both performance management and root cause analysis.
  • We design and provide training and support which results in every terminal being operated by qualified personnel.
  • We invest in infrastructure with the aim of avoiding harm to people and our environments, both inside and outside our terminals.

We regard adopting good HSE practices as our collective responsibility.

Every terminal therefore has a Safety Council, with both management and employees represented.

We hold meetings every month and cover a complete range of critical issues: from the status of the yearly HSE plan and incidents/accidents during the previous period, to investigation reports, KPI reports, learnings from Safety Observation Rounds, newly introduced personal protective systems, employee suggestions, remarks and complaints.

Findings of internal audits are also shared, and the minutes of Council Meetings are communicated to all employees and reported on the Quality Online system.
